Many tracks date back to the Mid amp; Late 70's, but still stands up to many of the current O'Jays recordings. Treat yourself and add this to your collection, you will not be let down by no means. It would have been nice if the Right Stuff label was in business long enough to maybe dig up some unreleased Harold Melvin amp; The Blue Notes, The early Intruders singles that never made it to LP and/or CD, and the much talked about Patti LaBelle "Live" project, which has yet to see the light of day (Except for her version of "If You Don't Know Me By Now").This album was special to me...even though radio didnot support it..it was mainly due to the fact the artists asked fans not to purchase it because it wouldnot benefit them finacially.(as it was originally recorded during their contract with the label)The tittle track..the same as the the name of the album is the reason i purchased it.The song is mainly talking about the strenght and love they have for each other..Eddie shines on this record.i like this cd and i will buy cd from amazon.com again sign kevin laneOkay....from what I'm reading, this cd is compiled of tracks that didn't make their recording before 2004. Okay. From what I heard, I just don't know WHY they didn't? THESE TRACKS WERE SLAMMIN'!!! I'll admit, the first song I had to hear over and over again, until I started to like it, but tracks 2 thru 12 were on it!! This is the sound that made The O'jays! Harmony, lyrics, music....TOTAL TALENT!!! This is the reason why these guys have been in the business for as long as they have. These songs were awesome, and track 2 I played over and over again. I couldn't get enough of it. I know it's been some years, but real music just don't go out of style. Just listen to this and you'll know what I mean.Even though they haven't been away, this is the first O'jays cd that I've purchased since they left Philly Int'l. Ok, so it is old material dressed up for today's market, but I'll take this over the drivel they've released the last few years. "Ruler of the Universe" and "Hurry Home" are classic Gamble and Huff. The Bunny Sigler tunes are also very good. The production updates by Dexter Wansel and co. don't interfere with the overall soulfulness of the tracks i.e. no rapping, scratching or guest shots. In fact the only cut I really don't care for is the title track. I read the guys went to court to stop the release of this cd, but to my ears it's all good. Hopefully, they'll hook back up with Gamble and Huff and make more beautiful music. Til then the old O'jays are back if only for one cd.I can truly understand why The O'Jays objected so strongly to this CD's release--the music is definitely inferior to most of the group's other (released) recordins. If you are a truly hard-core O'Jays fan you may like this CD but I do see why Eddie LeVert urged the group's fans not to buy it as it's made up of "Rejects".I've recommended this CD to many of my friends who know how to appreciate quality music with very soulful sounds. The famed Gamble amp; Huff sound takes me back to the 70s and 80s. There is not one track on this CD that doesn't make you want to either get up and dance around the room, sing out loud, or wish for the days long gone when music really made you feel good. Thank you, thank you, thank you O'Jays for collaborating with the famed Gamble amp; Huff team and bringing it all back. I hope that this will not be the last time that you "bring it", ole school style.Debbie
